In the fourth quarter of 2020, several consumer finance applications on the Android platform experienced notable trends in downloads and weekly active users in the United States. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of these top apps.

Cash App maintained a steady performance throughout the quarter, with downloads peaking at around 358K in the last week of September and ending the quarter with approximately 285K downloads in the final week of December. Weekly active users started strong with 5.8M in the last week of September, dipping slightly in October and November, then reaching a high of nearly 6M active users by the end of December.

Google Pay: Save and Pay had a remarkable surge in downloads, starting from a humble 301 downloads in the second week of November to a peak of over 573K in mid-December. The weekly active users mirrored this growth, starting at 226 users and skyrocketing to over 553K by the year's end.

Venmo's performance showed a slight decline in downloads, from 187K at the start of Q4 to around 176K by the end of December. However, weekly active users for Venmo presented a dip from 6.4M to approximately 5.3M during the same period.

Zelle downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase from 90K to 107K from the beginning to the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a modest increase from 391K to 428K over the same time frame.

Lastly, Capital One Mobile showed a mixed trend in downloads, peaking at around 70K in the final week of November and then decreasing to approximately 58K by the end of December. The weekly active users experienced a decrease from 4.4M to 4.3M at the start and end of the quarter, respectively.
